Since 1999 Buen Apetito’s owners, Gary and Susan LaPlant, have been catering to both shy and cultured taste buds alike with their Northern Mexican cuisine. Hand-pressed flour tortillas complement a variety of entrees, including in-house smoked pork served with their multi award-winning Chipotle BBQ Sauce. All meals are accompanied by fresh tortilla chips and homemade salsas, including a creamy avocado salsa, proclaimed a favorite by Portland Magazine. Gary’s hot sauces, including Jalisco Hot Ginger and Jalisco Hot Plum both recognized in Maine magazine’s A-List, are provided for the more adventurous customers.
