The Thistle Inn was built in 1861 as the home of a prominent sea captain. Our tavern and grill offer the perfect mix of fine cuisine and casual fare, with a focus on local ingredients from our region’s farmers and fishermen. Savor our Glidden Point oysters with a pomegranate-lime mignonette, Maine lobster paella with Maine shrimp, chorizo and mussels over a crisp saffron risotto cake, or rack of lamb with black garlic mash and spinach. Dine under a canopy of trees and stars on our side porch or choose an intimate barn-styled dining room illuminated by candlelight. The Dory Pub is anchored by a hand-crafted boat bar with an extensive selection of wines, beers, and spirits. Six elegant en suite guestrooms are available for overnight visitors.
