A co-worker showed me the most recent issue of Maine because it featured the article about Haystack, and I have spent quite a bit of time on Deer Isle during my life.  I thought the article was beautifully written, and then found other interesting articles as well.  Compared with other local magazines, I was impressed by the design and layout. Although I am a Portlander, I am originally from Bangor and so I appreciate articles -- like the Haystack article and Monhegan article -- that are not entirely Portland-centric.  It seems like Maine Mag does a good job of balancing coverage of the "Two Maines."
