Life Happens Outside Festival

Join Teens To Trails at L.L.Bean’s Discovery Park for the 2nd Annual Life Happens Outside Festival, an interactive, outdoor and family-friendly event to celebrate outdoor activities and lifestyles. This community event will benefit the work of T3, a local nonprofit dedicated to educating, engaging and inspiring Maine teens to build meaningful outdoor skills and provide access to incredible outdoor experiences such as camping at Acadia National Park or cross-country skiing to Maine Huts & Trails.

Maine Preservation’s 8th Annual Gala

The 8th Annual Maine Preservation Gala will be held on on Friday, September 7th in the Armory at The Portland Masonic in Portland. The theme this year, This Place Matters, celebrates the importance of historic preservation throughout Maine. Join good friends for great music and dancing, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, amazing desserts, complimentary wine and beer as well as silent and live auctions featuring exciting experiences.

31st Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival

The Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival is held in Wells, Maine, every September on the weekend after Labor Day. This prestigious, juried event brings many of New England’s finest artisans to exhibit their wares for thousands of browsers. Music and food round out the 2-day festival.

The Lobsterman Triathlon is one of the most decorated and well-known races in the United States, both because of it’s stunning beauty and the fantastic after-party. Swing “Fore” the Center Paul Gay Memorial Golf Tournament

Join the Center for Grieving Children for a beautiful day on the course at our annual Swing “Fore” the Center: Paul Gray Memorial Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament takes place at Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Swing “Fore” the Center is a scramble style golf tournament and is perfect for both amateur and seasoned golfers. After 18 holes, join the Center in celebrating your caring support at our Awards Ceremony.

Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital’s Open Golf Tournament

The annual BBCH Open Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, September 13th, 2018 at Boothbay Harbor Country Club, Prouts Neck Country Club, and the Woodlands Club to support Maine’s only children’s hospital. Last year’s tournament sold out – we had 95 teams participate! We look forward to seeing you in September for a great day on the course!

Camden International Film Festival

Since its founding in 2005, the Camden International Film Festival (CIFF) has risen to prominence as one of the world’s most respected documentary festivals.

Taking place each fall along the beautiful coast of Maine, CIFF champions innovative work that explores the boundaries of nonfiction storytelling through a carefully curated collection of films from around the world.

With hundreds of filmmakers and industry professionals attending annually, CIFF has become a major platform for the discovery of new artists and the creative exploration of the documentary form. The festival is an Academy-qualifying festival for the Documentary Short Subject Award, and one of 14 qualifying festivals for the Cinema Eye Honors.

Maine Huts and Trails’ Harvest at the Hut

Explore the best of Maine’s local cuisine at Stratton Brook Hut; a special farm-to-hut harvest event. With a talented local chef preparing farm fresh ingredients, this is a dining experience you won’t want to miss. Hike or bike to Stratton Brook Hut anytime after 11am on Saturday- dinner will be served at 6pm.

Due to being a multi-course dinner with a pre-set menu, dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated.
