Exploring a radical approach to making live art, the company constructs events that create intimacy among a group of strangers. Their latest work, The Fever tests the limits of individual and collective responsibility, and our willingness to be there for one another.

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo

Drag meets dance when “the Trocks” take the stage. For over 40 years, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo have turned the dance world on its head with their (mostly) faithful renditions of classical ballet repertoire. “A company of men who dance on pointe with as much panache and style as any prima ballerina” (Pointe Magazine), the Trocks have delighted and amazed audiences in over 34 countries and 600 cities since their modest beginnings in an “off-off Broadway” loft.

Spring for the Kids Annual Auction

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine, they provide comprehensive after school and summer programs and serve nearly 3,000 members annually. Whether it’s academic help, learning to swim, or a much needed healthy meal or snack, young people rely on the Clubs for the support necessary to grow into confident, successful adults. Join us for a great night out, so they can show up every day for the kids who need us most!

The Institute of Contemporary Art Spring Exhibitions

The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) at Maine College of Art (MECA) is pleased to announce the opening of the ICA Spring Exhibitions, a collective of three solo exhibitions: Visual Tensions | Séan Alonzo Harris, Parasitic Honeyshoes | Greta Bank, and Letting Yourself Go | Philip Brou. Little Black Dress Event

Join us at our 8th Annual Little Black Dress Event and watch members of our community walk the runway in their best Goodwill finds. All proceeds from the Little Black Dress event are directed to Goodwill NNE’s Veterans Access Fund which provides needed financial relief for veterans in our Job Connection program, so that they can build personal stability through work.

Seafood Celebration

Join us for our 6th Annual Gulf of Maine Seafood Celebration featuring local chefs, live music, and local seafood!

Sample delectable seafood dishes prepared by our Culinary Partners while enjoying spring views of Casco Bay and mingling with local fishermen and marine scientists. This year, the menu includes local scallops, oysters, mackerel, pollock, and other local favorites. Guests may also explore our fully reimagined Cohen Center for Interactive Learning — home of our LabVenture program.

Tickets include two drinks (beer, wine, or soda), desserts, and a variety of samples showcasing Gulf of Maine seafood. A portion of proceeds directly support GMRI’s sustainable seafood work.

Couleur A Masquerade Ball

We invite you to join American Cancer Society for their inaugural Couleur Masquerade Ball at The Portland Masonic on Saturday, April 27, 2019 to honor all those who have been affected by cancer. Most types of cancer have an associated color, such as pink for Breast Cancer and white for Lung Cancer, etc. Show your support or honor the battle of a loved one by incorporating colors into your outfit or mask. Get ready for an exciting evening of color, music, dancing, mingling, silent auction and intrigue. Event is from 7pm-11pm, address of Portland Masonic is 415 Congress St.

Evening includes dancing to the sounds of the Carmine Band, silent auction, roulette wheel & Wall of Hope prizes, nibbles from Blue Elephant catering and an Escape Event with Maine Escape Games!
