My husband and I were enjoying a spring
day at Sunday River in April when I took this photo on my iPhone. We were sliding down the mountain, me on skis and him on a snowboard, and taking in one of the last days of the season. We live in Boston but recently purchased a home in Bethel not far from Sunday River, so were soaking in every last flake of snow and taking full advantage of next year’s season passes. Since it was springtime, the mountain was almost empty, and there were no lines at the chairlifts, which meant we were in heaven. By April most people are turning their attention towards beach vacations, but, thanks to a few late snowstorms, we were stoked to be on the mountain.
