Narrative Structure

A Richardsonian arch, named
after architect Henry Hobson Richardson,
is one of the most distinctive features of
Kragsyde. When architect Robert Swain
Peabody was designing Black’s house,
famed landscaper Frederick Law Olmsted
suggested adding the arch to provide a
place for carriages to unload.
