Ben Fowlie

Ben Fowlie is the founder and director of the Camden International Film Festival, an annual documentary film festival that takes place each fall along the coast of Maine.

The festival is recognized as one of the Top 25 Film Festivals for Documentaries in the world. Ben is also the founder of the Points North Forum, a conference component which runs concurrently with the festival and includes past participants from HBO, A&E IndieFilms, BBC, PBS.Sundance and the Tribeca Film Institute.  Benjamin has been included in Thom Powers’ list 20 Under 40: Industry Leaders To Watch Out For and Maine Today Media’s 40 Under 40, Maine’s Emerging Leaders. Currently he sits on the nominating committee for the Cinema Eye Honors for Nonfiction Filmmaking and is a co-founder and programmer for The DocYard, a bi-weekly screening series held at the Brattle Theatre in Boston, MA. He has served as a juror and panelist at several film festivals, including SXSW, Silverdocs and the Sheffield Doc Fest.

Caitlin Fitzgerald

Caitlin Fitzgerald

Caitlin Fitzgerald is an actress and a writer from Maine who currently splits her time between New York and Los Angeles. She has acted in many films including “It’s Complicated,” “Newlyweds,” “Damsels in Distress,” and the up-coming independent features “Manhattan Romance,” and “Mutual Friends.”  She co-wrote and starred in a feature entitled “Like the Water,” which shot in her hometown of Camden, Maine, and which had its world premiere at the Maine International Film Festival.

“Like the Water” follows Charlie, a young journalist, as she returns to her hometown of Camden, Maine to write the eulogy for her best friend, Katherine. Charlie’s assignment unearths deep feelings of guilt at not having been a better friend, which only fuel her long-standing resentment toward Katherine’s girlfriend. On the eve of the memorial they are forced to confrontation, and Charlie goes too far. She must learn to pick up the pieces when words are not enough.

Caroline von Kuhn

Caroline von Kuhn

Caroline von Kuhn is the Managing Director of the Camden International Film Festival. von Kuhn comes from the New York festival world. She started at the Film Society of Lincoln Center (NYFF), produced Industry Panels for Doha Tribeca Film Festival (Doha, Qatar) and has been with the Tribeca Film Festival for the last five years. von Kuhn is a director/producer who recently directed her first feature, “Like the Water” in Maine with actress/co-writer Caitlin FitzGerald.

Sean Flynn

Sean Flynn

Sean Flynn is a Boston-based documentary producer, cinematographer and programmer. He is the Director of the Points North Documentary Forum at Camden International Film Festival and a co-founder of the DocYard screening series. In 2012, Sean was a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Scholar in India. He is currently a master’s candidate and research assistant at the MIT Open Documentary Lab.
