What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I am a self-taught astrologer. It became a hobby of mine when I started to study the art in 2015. I can read both personal and relationship charts, and I genuinely enjoy keeping up with the planets in our solar system to see what they’ll do next. It also functions as a way for me to better understand others, and to help others who are seeking guidance.

What is your favorite story about Maine history?
My favorite story about Maine’s vast history is the legend of Colonel Buck’s cursed tomb in Bucksport. It’s always fun to share folklore with people that haven’t grown up in this state, and it also makes you think about how the boot mark just keeps appearing! It’s a goal of mine to visit the tombstone in person one day.

What makes someone a true Mainer?
Speaking from personal experience, I believe that being a true Mainer involves leaving the state at some point or another, realizing that there’s nothing else quite like it in the world, and coming back to stay—maybe forever, or maybe just for a bit. But to a true Mainer, this is home, and you always find your way back home.
