Further inland, homeowners find peace along the tranquil waters of Maine’s many deepwater lakes. In the summer, jump off the docks into the warm lake waters. In the winter, skate on the surface when it freezes over. Some lakes, such as Sebago Lake and Moose Pond, are close to Shawnee Peak.
