Jenna and Jeremy’s three-day, lakeside affair took place at the Seeds of Peace Camp, a gorgeous spot for their 250-plus guests to play in the great outdoors. Upon arrival, guests picked up an itinerary loaded with festivities ranging from yoga and a talent show to beach volleyball and color games. The wedding featured a spiritual theme inspired by a Rumi poem, while wood and nature dominated an organic aesthetic. Their modified Jewish ceremony, to which the groom arrived on a white horse, took place under a handmade chuppah incorporating family heirlooms. Cocktails and the traditional hora followed in the field, as fireworks sparkled. Shoes were optional.

“JEREMY AND I BELIEVE WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO GIVE BACK. IT DRIVES EVERYTHING WE DO PROFESSIONALLY AND HOW WE SPEND A LOT OF OUR SOCIAL TIME. WE’RE COMMITTED TO LEAVING THE WORLD A TAD BETTER THAN HOW WE FOUND IT.”

Why…

that dress?  Jenna fell in love with Ayesha Depala while shopping with her mom in Dubai. She met the designer and worked closely with her on a couture piece with symbolic beadwork that was heavily influenced by Arab and Indian patterns.

that photographer? Jenna wanted someone whose creative vision is “outside of the box.” She chose Angelica Glass after looking at just one of her photos.

that art? Jenna’s father’s watercolors were incorporated in the save-the-dates, invitation, website, and program. He also designed the tree on the back of her dress, representing one at her parents’ country home in Pennsylvania.

those officiants? Both are cherished friends of the couple. Lama Tenzin is a spiritual guide for the Buddhist faith who runs an orphanage in northern India. They met Amichai Lau-Lavie while working with Reboot, an innovative Jewish leadership organization.

Seeds of Peace? Jeremy served as an executive for years and continues as an active board member with Seeds of Peace, a peacebuilding youth organization based in New York City. Jenna’s career focus is also in keeping with the camp’s mission, which is to educate and empower youth to become global citizens. It was a sentimental choice, and they liked that it was different and had a campus feel—two prerequisites.
