Architalx is an organization that brings leaders in the architecture and design community from around the World to lecture in Portland, Maine every April. The 2021 season will be hosted virtually and thanks to Architalx’s supporters, tickets will be free of cost! The third design lecture of the season is by Julie Eizenberg, a founding principal of Koning Eizenberg. Julie brings design vision, leadership, and expertise in working with cities, nonprofit agencies, institutions and private developers to generate inventive master plans and public places. She is an astute observer leading investigations that reshape the way we think about conventional building typologies. Her focus on the user experience — whether it is an individual, underserved community, or the public at large — brings an empathetic perspective that translates seemingly mundane programs into places of ease and generosity.
