This was taken last February during a snowshoeing trip to Buckhorn Camps on Jo-Mary Island near the 100-Mile Wilderness. Bud Utecht, co-owner of Buckhorn and a Registered Maine Guide, took us bush-whacking to check his game cams. It’s fascinating to watch the area’s lakes transform into frozen highways every winter.
