It was 5 a.m. on a foggy August morning, and my crew and I were leaving Owls Head Harbor to haul lobster for the day. Before we left the harbor, I saw the clear reflection of the American Eagle’s masts in the water and Monroe Island rising out of the fog bank behind her. Schooners are a familiar sight in Owls Head Harbor, but on this particular morning, the American Eagle looked especially unique.
I love working on the water and sharing what I see through my photography. The best shots of the day are usually in the early morning, like this one, when the light is just coming up over the horizon.
