Suzi grew up spending her summers in Kennebunkport and has always known she wanted a seaside summer wedding. With a background in art and a shared love of design, Suzi and J relished planning their weekend-long wedding celebration—putting tender love and care into every last detail, from the hand-painted lobster buoys to the labels on the nautical bracelet gifts. The wedding party enjoyed a lobster bake rehearsal dinner on the beach the night before the wedding, which took place outside at St. Ann’s church near the bride’s family home. The reception was held in the family’s lawn, with an after-party at the Kennebunk River Club. Bright white and deep blue were the colors of the weekend, and lobsters made multiple appearances in this classically nautical-themed wedding. Big hits among the guests were Gin Gin Mules made of gin, ginger beer, lime, and mint and the late night lobster roll cart.

“WE LOVED THAT WE COULD NOT ONLY BE AT A CHAPEL BUT BE OUTDOORS OVERLOOKING THE WATER AS LOBSTER BOATS RODE BY.”

Why…

that stationery? Suzi really wanted the invitations to be a not only gorgeous but a representation of the style and feel of the wedding, which was beautiful, beachy, and fun. She worked with Mr. Boddington to design the save the dates as well as the suite of invitations, which included a custom map complete with images of St Ann’s, the Bigliani house, and the Kennebunk River Club.

that cake? The couple knew they wanted butter cream, which required a more simple design. The end result perfectly reflected the theme of the wedding in shades of blue and white with icing piped to look like rope. There was even a golf-themed cake for J.

those colors? Simple. Suzi always knew they would be!
