Bitter End

The menu at the Bitter End includes dishes with Portuguese, Fr ench, Asian, and Italian influences. Sear ed New Bedford sea scallops (left) are a signature; here they are served Asian style with forbidden rice and bok choy.

Opened in 2018 by the former owners of Pier 77 and the Ramp in Cape Porpoise (who also own Pedro’s in Kennebunk), Bitter End has a fun-loving vibe and a lively bar scene inside and out. Inside, sports memorabilia festoons the intimate space; outside, tables and Adirondack chairs surround a fire pit. The menu runs the gamut from crab cakes to buttermilk fried chicken, and the “3 Happy Hours” menu offers six-dollar snacks, well drinks, and wine pours.
