Long Grain

People swear this is the best Thai food they’ve ever tasted, but the menu actually incorporates food from throughout Asia. Chef Bas Nakjaroen, who owns the restaurant with his wife, Paula Palakawong, has garnered five James Beard Award nominations for his intensely flavorful dishes, many of which are inspired by Asian street food and prepared with mostly local ingredients. Every detail is seen to, from the variety of foraged mushrooms in the pad kee mao to hand making the chewy, rice noodles. The coconut-lemongrass mussels are a must, and so are reservations.
